Learn how to use Otlet at ICCB 2019 in this free lunchtime workshop! We look forward to welcoming you at the upcoming Otlet workshop at ICCB 2019. Open to researchers from universities, government agencies, museums and NGOs, the workshop will teach attendees how to browse, request and contribute samples to the Otlet platform.
What is https://otlet.io/ ?Otlet is a free online platform that allows research scientists to share, source and request biological samples. Sharing your leftover samples reduces waste, lowers research costs and provides new opportunities for collaboration. With a network of scientists in more than 50 countries worldwide, Otlet accepts records for all plant and animal species, and for all types of samples.
How does Otlet work?Submit. Simply lodge a record of your unused, shareable sample onto the database using our quick, <4-minute process.
Search. Browse the database of over 16,000 samples to find specific species and sample types.
Enquire. Contact the sample holder directly to discuss sharing options and shipping arrangements.
Request. Can't find the sample you need? Submit a request --these are emailed out to Otlet users weekly.
Learn more about Otlet or come ready with details of your sample sets to upload directly at our ICCB workshop.
