ECRs to connect for KL excursions, dinners, drinks?

I imagine there will be many others like myself, participating in the conference solo without knowing anyone or too many people.
Any other grad students, postdocs etc. interested in connecting via a Facebook messenger or WhatsApp chat or something like that to organize possible meetings for dinner, drinks, KL excursions offered through ICCB, KL tower, Petronas Towers etc.

What does ECR stand for? I'm participating solo! I'm easy to find - Stephanie Schuttler on Facebook, Fancy Scientist on social media.

I am attending the conference solo as well, although I have now met Stephanie Schuttler through email, exchanged WhatsApp contact info.

I arrive late Thursday night so am interested in doing some exploring on that Friday and Saturday. I have signed up for the Cameron Highlands excursion on Sunday to venture outside of KL as I have never been to Malaysia before. I would love to get over to Borneo to see the orangutans, pygmy elephants, and other wildelife, but coudn't afford the offered 3-day excursions after the conference.

Safe travels! See you in Kuala Lumpur!

Hey Andrew -- this sounds great, it'd be fun to connect with other ECRs at the conference. Please add me to any list you get started. Cheers,

Hello there! Edwin Pynegar, I've just requested to join the FB group. I attended the ICCBs in Montpellier and Cartagena but a lot of the people I know don't seem to be going this time, so always keen to meet new folks!
