Dear SCBNA Members,
On behalf of the SCBNA Board of Directors, I am writing to share an update regarding one of our Standing Committees. After much consideration, the Equity, Inclusion, Diversity, and Justice (EIDJ) Committee has elected to change its name to the Community, Access, Reach, & Engagement (CARE) Committee.
This name change reflects the expansion of the committee’s role within SCBNA. In addition to promoting our society’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, we intend to take a more active role in community-building, member engagement, ensuring accessibility of SCBNA resources, and growing the reach of our society within the North American conservation community.
Rest assured that this committee remains dedicated to supporting the underserved members of our conservation community.
