Dear SCB North America Members,
Please see the following funding opportunity from Allen Family Philanthropies. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Dr. Yuta Masuda, Director of Science at yutam@allenphilanthropies.org.
---
Allen Family Philanthropies, formerly known as the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for up to $10 million in funding to accelerate Natural Climate Solutions (NCS). These are nature-based actions that protect, restore, and improve management of forests, wetlands, grasslands, oceans, and agricultural lands, mitigating climate impacts by working with natural ecosystems. This new RFP is seeking to support efforts to develop science and technology solutions to accelerate NCS implementation in the United States.
Please click on this link , which describes eligibility and the process for submitting a Letter of Interest, which is due January 15, 2026.
We will host an informational webinar on December 9, 2025 at 9am PST with a live Q&A about this opportunity. You can register to attend the webinar here. In the meantime, we are also seeking to understand the various barriers to NCS implementation and possible solutions for overcoming them and invite you and partners to fill out this 10-minute survey.

Thank you!
