The Latin America and Caribbean Section (LACA) of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) is excited to welcome Estefany Sofía Guerra Correa to its board of directors as LACA's Secretary for the 2023-2025 term. Estefany is a Colombian-Ecuadorian biologist currently pursuing her PhD on the the ecology and behavior of Andean lizards. The LACA Section wishes to thank the former Secretary, Eva Camargo, all of its members for their continued membership in SCB, and extends a special thank you to all of those who voted in the LACA Board elections.
